Sean Lee, who works in Beirut, compares Benny Morris's views of Arabs being bad drivers to racist French "science" about Algerians. Then he quotes Morris:

Lee responds:
As it happens, I currently live in a multireligious political structure
that has Sunni Muslim Arabs aligned with Christians and Druzes against
Shi’a Muslim Arabs aligned with Christians. Iran, France and the US, on
the other hand, are all entities in which Muslim Arabs live as a
minority.
Benny Morris is just a classic example of the "Jewish Nazi" type. No more, no less. And this is not going to be a tabooed or penalised expression.
Morris's racist passages are no different than standard NAZI tracts of that period. Does he really need to have someone point that out to him? Why isn't he attacked more as a run-of-the-mill racist? And Yale U Press publishes him… Obviously, he has never interacted with the muslim community in the USA.
Because he was once more respectable, as one of the New Historians. Like Israel, the man has persistently slid further to the Right. Now he's clearly racist.
Arabs have trouble sharing? I've experienced Arab hospitality. I've never even heard the phrase Jewish hopsitality.
During the Gaza war I was watching out for people who used the opportunity to extend the conflict to include the Israeli Arabs. Morris was the first I encountered, an opinion piece in the NYTimes.
