From a Jewish publication in Britain:
Channel 4’s flagship investigations programme, Dispatches, is to probe what it calls “one of the most powerful and influential political lobbies in Britain” — the pro-Israel lobby. According to Channel 4’s official pre-publicity, “despite wielding great influence among the highest realms of British politics and media, little is known about the individuals and groups” who work “in support of the interests of the state of Israel”. ..
It says that Mr [Peter] Oborne “sets out to establish who they are, how they are funded, how they work and what influence they have, from the key groups to the wealthy individuals who help bankroll the lobbying…According to a spokesman for the channel, Dispatches wanted “to look at one of the most powerful, but also least transparent lobbying groups in the UK”.
He explained it was “an entirely legitimate area for journalistic investigation, not least in the run-up to an election, where a lobby working in support of the interests of a foreign power could wield great influence in shaping future British policy”.
Now, can you imagine any US mainstream journalist framing the issue that way?

I can imagine it real easily, but that’s wishful thinking on my part.
60 minutes has been scooped…. often
Wait, don’t we have Larry King? He cares about all of us, doesn’t he? Well, at least we have Wolf Blitzer, right? Joe Lieberman?

Joe Sobran came close. Predictably, he’s no longer in the mainstream.

In doing an expose of America’s pro-Israel lobby, 60 Minutes would essentially be doing an expose of itself. Sumner Redstone, Leslie Moonves, Jeff Fager, Victoria Gordon, etc., etc., etc.
The most powerful people at the parent company, network, and the show itself are all Jewish and most are Zionists with a strong love of Israel that obviously distorts their objectivity.
The truth is that their reason, and I am speaking of the 60 Minutes staff, is not that they are ardent Zionist but that they are just as intimidated by the Jewish censors, CAMERA, the ADL and their ilk, as non-Jews. When Mike Wallace did an honest report on the Israeli police murder of almost 20 Palestinians in a clash Al-Aksa more than a decade ago, he was viciously attacked by the heads of the Tribal Authority. When I sent him clippings from the Israeli press that backed up his reporting of the event, translated by Prof. Israel Shahak, Wallace phoned to express his appreciation.
In his memoirs, Wallace writes about the efforts of the Tribal Authority to dictate how 60 Minutes should cover Israel. With Wallace and Don Hewitt gone, one can expect them to now knuckle under without a fight.
Thank you Jeffrey. In addition to the Jewish censors you mention (CAMERA, ADL, etc.), wouldn’t the staff also be intimidated by their immediate superiors? I’ve always thought that the “executive producer” is the one with the ultimate say in how the final product, be it a TV news magazine or a comedy, drama, or what have you, gets presented to the viewers. And I’ve always thought it no coincidence that a majority of the executive producers are Jewish. I imagine that they control content in much the same way as do the radio station managers that you have worked under and have written/spoken about in the past. I know that you said that some of the managers were buckling to pressure from the Jewish censor groups, but you also mentioned that then new head people would be brought in, and they were usually Jewish Zionists (I believe there were two different examples you gave here recently).
I’ve always found it interesting to note, too, that sometimes a show’s creator is also its executive producer. I haven’t done any in-depth studies on it, but it seems like often, if that is the case, and the creator/executive producer is not Jewish, then there is a second executive producer who is inevitably Jewish. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a show where there are two executive producers listed, and both are non-Jewish. It’s absolutely amazing to behold. How can that many Jewish people rise to the most important position in television without some sort of favorable prejudice in hiring?
“How can that many Jewish people rise to the most important position in television without some sort of favorable prejudice in hiring?” (DK)
Why would you need to assume that there is no such prejudice? Standard statistical tests would reject the hypothesis of random selection from the general population at an astronomically high level of confidence. The only plausible alternative to prejudice (i.e., discrimination) as an explanation is the hypothesis that Jews have some unique abilities not possessed by others.
As we are aproaching the Holiday Season, I think it is only fair to state that I will only accept the complete domination of America and the media by the Zionists as effectively completed, WHEN I GET 8 DAYS OFF FOR HANNUKAH!!!
I’f they can’t manage that, they’re just a bunch of wanna-bes!
Good thing there is no comparable institution in the United States.
Oborne is very good (one of about three decent, principled Conservatives out of the entire party) he’s done a lot of good Dispatches episodes, in particular on the British police state and one on Islamophobia, this’ll almost certainly be worth trying to get your hands on.
There hasn’t been a single goddamn scoop in this country since the birth of the internet!
Channel 4 in general tell it like it is. Its 7.00 news program is the best I’ve come across.
Well – there is what they call “Journalism” – but I call it “Jingoism” – And nobody other than Amira Hass admits it.

It is much more than a lobby: Aafia Siddiqui and “Islamist Threat”.
Here’s another ‘scoop’ for you folks:
The ship that was earlier this week intercepted by Israel in International waters, apparently had “tons” of Iranian ammunition heading towards Hizbollah bases.
The thing is, everyone in Lebanon (where I still am) is laughing their head off at such an Israeli “low-budget movie”.
Why the national cackle?
Because the Hizb already controls Beirut airport. They don’t need to ‘smuggle’ anything into the country from Iran or Shmiran.
Geddit?!
You know, I think I enjoyed Pirates of the Carribean much more than I’m liking Pirates of the Mediterranean. For starters, in the former, it was the (erstwhile) good guys who ultimately won, not the bad guys.
Surely you mean ‘Pirates of Khazar’ not ‘Pirates of the Mediterranean’ :-)
