The premier added that on February 25 he intended to present the cabinet with a working program which would include the inauguration of two trails to be added the existing Israel Trail: an historical trail that would connect various archeological sites, and an "Israeli Experience" trail linking dozens of Israel’s landmarks, museums and memorials.
Let’s take a look at the map of this proposed "historical trail", and see what you notice.

The report indicates that part of this new initiative is an expansion of the existing ‘The Israel Trail’. In contrast to the new route, the current trail was apparently designed to exclude ‘disputed’ (in other words, occupied) territories:
The Israel Trail was first marked in 1995, and it was carefully constructed to sidestep areas of territorial dispute, such as the Golan Heights, West Bank settlements, and even Jerusalem.
‘The Israel Trail’ is also part of Israel’s tourism appeal.
Should Netanyahu’s plan be realized, one hopes that tourism agencies, international hiking organisations, and other related groups will refuse to have anything to do with a project so heavily implicated in the apartheid occupation.

It is obvious that the Israeli government has for some time considered “Israel” to include the WB and has no intention of relinquishing an inch of it. Their problem is only how to get rid of “the Arabs” living there.
Looks like the Golan Heights are part of the “trail”, including the eastern part of the West Bank which under the Oslo Accords is to be controlled by the Israeli military. If that’s any indication of things to come, then it seems the Netyahoo government considers the Oslo Accords to be final status, i.e. no viable Palestinian state.
Might as well officially scratch out the two state solution.

No, it’s not. There is a long and very empty road between Beit She’an and the turnoff to Jerusalem, running parallel to an Israeli ‘Security Fence’ (between two minefields) designed to keep ‘Terrorists’ from the east out.

I disagree with Ben White’s criticism of this new tourist attraction. If Israel wants to make a new tourist trail, on its own territory, then let it do so. Let them sell the myths about Masada, Ein Gedi, Dan, etc
The fact that the trail misses out the West Bank and Gaza is irrelevant (you don’t want foreign tourists to see Israeli oppression of the local niggers). So miss out Nablus (Samaritans) and the rest of the West Bank where so many known sites associated with the Old Testament are located. Don’t take them into Gaza to see where Samson pulled down the columns on the Philistines.
