What's she running for? Sarah Palin celebrated Shabbat in Pennsylvania last Friday night with many Jews, before her appearance at that Glenn Beck rally. From Benyamin Korn of Jews for Sarah:
my organization, Jewish Americans for Sarah Palin, set up a Shabbaton — a Sabbath gathering for meals, songs, prayers, and conversation — with the assistance of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, to be a part of their weekend with Mrs. Palin....
By evening, the halls of the Hershey Lodge were filled with the aroma of chulent, the traditional Sabbath stew. More than 1,000 citizens came to the $200-a-plate dinner with the governor, including a small group whose members paid $25,000 each to sit at the governor's table. Our Jews for Sarah tables included a cross-section. Some came from Philadelphia, Baltimore, or North Jersey, while others from farther afield. Dr. Joseph Frager, president of the Jerusalem Reclamation Project, made the drive from Queens.
Some say that Jews aren't moving right, by the way. I'm not buying, I think the community is politically transformed from the one I grew up in...

Unless the $25,000 seats at table were with the governor of Pennsylvania, or some other current governer of another state, it is not proper protocol to refer to her as Governor Palin. Proper address is “The Honorable Sarah Palin” or “Former Governor Palin” or “Ms. Sarah Palin, former Governer of Alaska”, NOT Governer Palin. Only the titles for President and Senator of a state (not senators of the state legislature) are retained after office.
These people paid 25k to sit at the “former governer’s” table. Don’t matter if she quit, was impeached, thrown in jail, finished her term, or passed on while in office — she ain’t guv’nor of nuttin’ no more.
So what?
Well, because words have meaning. You should try it sometime.
I’m not sure that colonialist-orientated jews are moving right; what is happening in part is that their colonial views, long held, are becoming intermittently and splutteringly less viable on the ‘left’.
Dont forget that Palin met with AIPAC almost immediately after being chosen by McCain.

Hey guys, Huntington was not writing a friggin manual!
Sarah speaks at Hershey Lodge about strenghening traditional family values instead of supporting big government programs favored by elite DC & popular culture. “God does not make mistakes.” How does she know this?

BTW, Phil, the J-St poll taken last Spring of a sample of Jewish Americans revealed that in a future Obama v Pallin run-off for POTUS, Obama got almost all the votes.
An Obama v Palin race would pit all the standard Jewish American values (education including verbal ability, meritocracy, race, separation of church and state etc. ) against the one issue of Israel. The results of the J-Street poll are good news.
