  • Nakba consciousness-raising... in our nation's capital
  • Report: Palestinian prisoners reach deal to end historic hunger strike
    • The BBC piece doesn't mention the two prisoners that reached 75(?) days on hunger strike, but does mention "Many of the 4,500 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel are suspected of being members of militant groups.". Ain't freedom of the press great?

      link to bbc.co.uk

  • AIPAC's Iran resolution (What if Congress had told JFK he couldn't 'rely on containment' with Soviets?)
  • 'Orgy in the desert' fails to wed young Jewish woman to Zionism
    • Being from a more backward country I find the idea of a sex camp to promote some national feeling in bad taste.

And besides why not hire some prostitutes to entertain the boys? This doesn't leave anything to chance, and a new Jew could be born every 9 months, for every girl. The battle would be finally won, as I doubt Islam will tolerate something like this.

  • Jon Stewart keeps upping the ante
    • Yeah, this was great! If you have very, very low standards.
In a normal, democratic country he could have said what need's to be said, not play around the bush hoping that smart people will "get it". Smart and informed people already "get it", so this is just some feel good broadcast for interested intellectuals.

But the main issue, that the masses will not understand, is that the USA is willing to do absolutely anything for Israel and it's lobby, no matter how stupid, or downright inhuman it is. The masses will only get that when someone will have the guts to say it plain and simple, hopefully without being forced to resign the next day.

Land of the free my ass! It's the land of the happily deluded! You cannot criticize a foreign country for fear or reprisals, it's not much lower that you can go.

But yeah, for the USA I guess this is a great milestone in "free speech".

  • The spoils of lawfare, or please do not pet the Islamists: Shurat HaDin's 2012 'Ultimate Mission to Israel'
    • Please enlighten me, how is it legal to confiscate ships detained in international waters? Or, for that matter, in state waters? I think it would be normal for the ships to be returned to the owners after any investigation, or whatever, is completed.

  • 'We are you and you are us,' Netanyahu says-- but Obama thumbs him with talk of Palestinians and diplomacy
    • Maybe Netanyahu should speak with the king and get them to bomb Iran :) Just a little favor between good neighbors.

  • SJP members accosted, barred from attending Israeli solider event at George Washington University
    • What did you expect? Zionism is not an ideology that stands on logic, or ethics, or justice, it is based on fear. Any discussion is bound to create problems, so they are right to avoid it. The only way Zionism can thrive and spread is through monologues and peer pressure and information overflow.

  • Responding to commenters on recent bannings
    • Witty was not the problem, and if the pro-Israeli (or Zionist, or whatever) want their voice to be present here, they will send somebody else, or the same somebody, with a different hat.
The problem was you people kept feeding the troll. You gave him some sort of legitimacy. He should have been left alone, but be present, to present his point of view.

    • That's exactly the kind of comment that may be banned for antisemitism but should not be! :)
Holly crap man, are you saying that when people say "zionists", they sometimes mean "Jews"???

    • True.
Where you draw the line is where the success or failure manifests. It's a tin line, but I'd err on the side of free speech, especially given the fact that subjects discussed here are tabu on MSM.

Regarding comments, some times I say something that may not be written to the best of my abilities, and someone doesn't understand me and replies pointing out some perceived idiocies. And then my reply doesn't get posted and I look like an imbecile (exaggerated for effect).
It's not my problem, I give you that, but my suggestion was for this site, not for my ego. My ego is fine, with or without the site. :)

    • While I'm not a regular here I think that banning any opinion, except the ones that are clearly repetitive or of topic, is a minus for any site. Individual comments ban would be a better approach, although it would require more work. Actually I was expecting some better moderation when you extended mondoweiss, but I guess this would not be the case.
As for banning individual comments, I, for one, would like to know when my comment is not accepted because of its content, and not because some timeout occurred.
On the issue of anti-semitism, I think it should not be banned, except in the case when it advocates violence or hate, or something more easy to prove. I know this is a predominantly Jewish website, and I know the subject is difficult for you, but this trend of trying to hide some peoples opinion if they are anti-Jewish, just seems like ignoring the elephant in the room. Or not having the arguments against it. And anyway, it's very easy to substitute Jew with Zionist and say the exact same things.

  • Will the US act as Israel's proxy against Iran?
    • Well, if somebody has the guts to play the master, when his power depends exclusively on the other guy, he either knows something or he's completely crazy.
So yes, I guess there is a big possibility the USA will act as Israels dumb, but powerful, homeboy once again.

  • Khader Adnan ends strike and will be released in April, under reported deal
    • And behold, the mainstream media quickly reports on this kind act by Israel! Without any mention of the fact that he was not, in fact, accused of anything.
Day by day I get closer to thinking the conspiracy nuts where right all along. Either that or this world gets more disgusting each day.

  • Book Review: 'A Child's View from Gaza: Palestinian Children's Art and the Fight Against Censorship'
  • For just $502.42 you can bash Muslims in Columbus
    • I would expect a list of those people called terrorists, with some comments from more knowledgeable people. Maybe they are indeed terrorist? Point is, without more info this is just a meaningless discussion, based on hearsay and outrage. If I'd like that I'd already be a fanatical supporter of Israel. :)

  • Israeli drones are reported spying on Turkey for the Kurdish group PKK
    • Not to sound like an Israeli apologist, but Turkey seems pretty eager, lately, to enter into Syria, so maybe the important news here is that the bases are in Syria. This could justify an intervention. As for the Israeli angle, this could be "confirmed", or denied later according to the developments.

  • Gingrich says his backer's 'central value' is Israel (and NBC drops the subject)
  • Mustafa Tamimi has died
    • I seem to remember Gandhi embraced non-violent struggle because he was 100% sure it will work. I also seem to remember him saying that, if he was sure non violent struggle doesn't work he would turn to violence to achieve freedom.

Those who do not retaliate are slaves. Those who know they will win by not retaliating are few, and an exception.

Just think about it, Gandhi commanded hundred of millions of followers, chances are he would have got fewer people killed by just commanding his followers to attack the British. Just saying. I respect Gandhi more that pretty much anything in this world.

  • Iran: If it had been a fighter jet not a drone, 'U.S. bases would have been pounded'
    • Man, the conspiracy theorists are getting so incompetent these days I feel the need to create one myself.

What if the drone was not downed by the Iranians, but by some other party that actually has the means and the motives to down it? Like Russia or China? I mean, the situation is pretty tense around the globe, with the US meddling in Pakistan and the missile shield in Europe, and both these powers would have a good motive to show the US that, without some concession, their little colonial wars could become very expensive, very quickly.

And this would tie another loose end:
Q: Why would the Iranians show they have the capability to destroy these drones? A: They don't! They took the best approach in this situation and turned it into a propaganda victory.

  • Israel isn't good for the Jews anymore
    • Unfortunately my reply has not been accepted, so I'll follow my initial stance and end the discussion here, calling me an anti-Semite was the end of it anyway.

    • Israel was never good for the Jews, it was a bad idea from the start. Never mind the current abomination that is Israel, any other Jewish country in the world, even without the racism and the native displacement would have been problematic.

I see Jews like the perfect minority, time and time again they move to different countries on this planet and did pretty good. But they always had a country where to live, and always had the possibility to switch between being a national of that country and being a Jew. And most of the time their success was hated by the natives and they had to move again when the economic situation worsened. Nothing exceptional here, people tend to stick with their kind when the situation is dire. But anyway, this willingness to move was one of the greatest qualities of the Jewish people in the last couple of centuries. While the rich natives stayed on their land and lost a lot, the Jewish mobility meant most of the wealth could be preserved.

My little pet theory is followed by Israel exactly. Israel is not a state. Israel functions like a "global" minority, or more likely a US minority. Israel is not independent economically, it lives on the back of the USA. It has nothing that a real state has, like an independent economy, like the power to defend itself through diplomacy or military might. What would Israel be with a regime like those in Cuba, or Iran, or Serbia in the nineties? It would most likely disappear and, sorry, but many of the people in Israel will pack their bags at the smallest sign of impeding doom, like countless times again. It's hard to think: "I'll die here, no matter what!" when you know your ancestors survived just fine by moving from one place to another.

  • Nakba denial: 'NYT' removes the word 'expulsion' from article describing Palestinian refugees
    • For Bobs sake!!! There are 7 comments! Seven!
Someone wrote an article on the "learning" section and then changed it after one comment complained?

      What does this say:
      1) The subject is so holly that any pro-Israel comment must be accommodated.
      OR
      2) The articles are written by drunken monkeys that didn't take the minimum precautions before posting them, hence the "learning" part is actually sarcasm.

  • The earlier me
    • Look, many people have been conned or brainwashed or whatever. And I'm supporting anyone who can get past that, it's not an easy thing.
But the Nazis, and their grandchildren are still paying, when will Israel and the Zionists start to pay?

    • Strange how the simplest of things are so hard to grasp. Most people don't seem to find anything wrong with creating an artificial state at the detriment of the natives. I guess, when I say most people, I am thinking of Americans, which actually explains a lot.
There has to be some coping mechanism to accept the crimes that the Americans did, and I'm talking only about the natives that were massacred.
I guess there really is a bond between America and Israel, a spiritual bond, between people having to justify to themselves the extermination of the native population.
Of course, one notable difference exists: we can't do anything about the dead Indians, but we still can do something about the dying Palestinians.

  • A message in the sand: 'We will not allow gas exports to Israel'
    • Why not?
An act of defiance without human death, and probably, little economic impact is too politically incorrect?
I say, explode all the pipelines, it's the will of the people, and Egyptian people are on their way to make Egypt what it was on Ramses' time!

  • Bernard-Henri Levy insists settlements are not 'colonies' but minute 'implantations'
    • And the railroad will only take a small portion of Apache land and won't affect their lives in the slightest. Of course, in this case they skipped the railroad and gone straight to the reservations. Good land! Really! We love them so much we'll give them the best land available.

  • Thousands rally in Tahrir Square as protests continue against military government
    • All my heart and thoughts are with the people of Egypt. No matter if they succeed or not, they already won a place in my heart. I've never ever been so impressed by anyone. Such determination in the face of such odds is legendary. If I would believe in God I'd prayed for them to win. They deserve it more than any other people in my lifetime.

  • Obama must condemn Egyptian military's crackdown
    • While you're at it, also demand that they don't sell equipment to the USA.

    • Why condemn now when he can wait to see what happens, issue an apology/ congratulation then and just rewrite history after the fact by saying he is the one that started the uprising.

You know, just like the last time.

  • France chides Israeli ambassador following consul injury in Gaza attack
    • Weak, face saving, "reminder".
And for Bob's sake, what strains in the relationship? The same as between Obama and Netaniahu?
If only I had more friends with this kind of "strained" relationship!

  • Critics of Palestine solidarity within Occupy Wall Street rely on distortion
    • What's the issue here?
Are they afraid Jews will say: "Hey, the house of cards is crumbling and I'll lose all my savings and my house if this continues, but I'll still side with the rich because those demonstrators are against the Israeli occupation!"

  • AIPAC Hollywood junket to Israel meets protest
    • "Over the years, I have noticed that Italian-Americans have a tendency to support Israel and also espouse anti-Arab and Islamophobic views."

I hope you're not talking about Hollywood, because those "Italians" are most likely Jews :) As are the Russians, the Americans, the French, etc. I have some doubts about the black people, but I expect to find out, any time now, they're from some black Jewish sect in Ukraine. :D

  • Contextualizing the Holocaust
    • The holocaust has become a bad joke. There is only one side and that side is completely stupid, please forgive my French.

The Holocaust is only this: "6 Million Jews where killed by the Nazis in extermination camps, an that must not happen again."

That's it! That's the Holocaust! A single phrase. That's all that it's allowed in most of the world.

The Why? The How? The who? Are taboo subjects.
The Holocaust has no meaning, it's just a stupid propaganda campaign made to demonize most of the world and to protect a minority.

Sorry for those that got affected by it, but that's the truth. The Holocaust got stolen from the victims. It could have been a great lesson, but it is just propaganda.

  • Six Palestinian Freedom Riders arrested traveling on Israeli-only bus
  • The real question is: Does Netanyahu lie?
    • It's one sided because it refers to a specific event.
As an analogy, do you expect in a discussion about Martin Luther King to also talk about white people, Indian people and Chinese people?
But hey, don't let common sense stop your propaganda.

  • Israelis respond to Obama snub on Facebook
    • How can they get mad at Obama, for Bobs sake!?! The guy is like water, they provide the glass and he takes that shape. Anyway, I expect an apology pretty quick: "unfortunate remarks ...out of context... our love for Israel... strategic partnership... a history of friendship".

As for Sarkozy he seems unstable enough to tell them to go stuff it!

  • Strategic asset or rogue state? Israel's threats to Iran 'concern' Pentagon
    • "Strategic asset or rogue state?"
What strategy asset? Why are you propagating this fabrication?

For the money that the USA gave Israel you could have bought another country in the Middle East, and one that also has some standing and some ties with it's neighbors, not a murderous mad dog.

  • Flotilla controversy within Occupy Wall Street shows Palestine continues to be a fault line
    • Charles Norman thanks them and adds: “This kind of crap is the ONLY thing that can kill this movement.”

Yeah! There can be no movement without the Jews! It's the law!

Sorry, but this guy's reaction is insulting.

Besides that, while I would like to see OWS support Palestine I think this issue can wait.
And besides, restoring the power to the people cannot be possible without taking it for AIPAC and the big money. The issue does not need to be present as the outcome will still be bad for Israel.

  • JTA wonders why 'Jewish influence' is so 'pervasive' in our politics
    • "Politicians listen to Jews because Jews tend to ask them incisive questions, on just about everything."

Until this point I thought this guy was serious.

Jews are influential because they are united and borderline paranoiac (the whole world hates us, etc.). Once you also have the money and the media it's pretty easy to have a huge influence by presenting a united front. I'm talking mainly about the support for Israel, as I'm not aware of any other issue that is supported by Jews with such fervour.

  • Two boats are a day and a half from Gaza, and plan to arrive at daylight
    • They wouldn't have to start a war, just send 2 warships and retreat them before reaching Israel's turf. :D
Although maybe Israel turf is all the water by now.

    • The saddest thing is that this gets no coverage whatsoever.
I almost would have liked Turkey to send two frigates with the ships just to see the mainstream media poop their pants and have all of this on the front page of any corporate controlled rag in the world.

  • Turkish harbormaster let 11 of us sail (and 25 are left behind)
    • Any idea why where you left behind? Any common denominator between you people?
I understand this was a secret departure but I'm not sure Turkish intelligence where not aware of it.
      Just for the record.

  • 'Freedom Waves to Gaza' flotilla leaves Turkey headed to Gaza; Organizers: 'It is time to lift the siege of Gaza which deprives 1.6 million civilians of their rights to travel, work, study, develop their economy and be free.'
    • Come on man, how is the Hebrew language related with all this mess? Ok, it's not their mother language, so what? This sound very extremist and just plain wrong.

    • It got postponed because of the recent attacks on Israel! Those damn Arabs will do anything to prevent their people being liberated to delegitimize(TM) Israel.

    • One interesting fact that no one seems to point out, it's the way this flotilla stayed out of politics. I find this to be the real news of the day!
The fact that no Turkish citizens are on the flotilla can mean only one thing:
They tried very, very hard to avoid any confrontation!

Erdogan said before that Turkey will protect the Turkish citizens on humanitarian missions to the occupied territories with it's navy. This, of course would have led to a nasty confrontation, not that Israels Navy would have any fighting chance against the Turkish Navy.

But the people of this flotilla chose not to take advantage of this! Makes you think! If you have the necessary apparatus to think.

    • Yeah, it's one of those strange coincidences. Like a major western news service, or newspaper, in my case BBC, just forgetting to mention that the Israeli raid was because mortars were fired from Gaza. That could like totally happen.
My apology to your daughter also, a great strategist that can distinguish mortar fire from rocket fire while hearing what happens on both sides of the border.
And also my apology for your inside knowledge of WHO fired those rockets, the "Jihad Islami group" in this case. I'm sure your family gets briefed by this organization every time they launch a mortar.

But hey! If you say so, it's probably true. And my sources in the Israeli army, that I cannot name, say exactly the same. I'm also sure no Arab daughters heard any explosions whatsoever, although animals have a keen sense of hearing.

    • You must understand that this comes from the same people that widely believe Arabs want to get shot to make Israel look bad, it's geocentrism all over again.
As for the media, they shamefully took advantage of the quake in Turkey to promote Israel, not much credibility left here in my book.
About the strikes in Gaza, I read one night that Israel launched a bombardment in Gaza and the next morning that rockets fired from Gaza prompted a "retaliation". These people just have no shame.

    • Best of luck to the people involved!
Thumbs up for their ingenuity in planing this also.

  • Sadly, Americans need permission from Israeli heroes to stick a fork in Zionism
    • I also had a comment on Citizen's opinion but it din't got approved. I was pretty much saying what you said, probably in a very bad way.

    • It's pretty hard to show you're a sociopath when you have no power. Who are you going to abuse?
But abuse breeds abuse, and if Israel falls one day there will be bloody retaliations for sure and probably all kind of inhuman treatment. The difference here would be that Palestinians would have some motive for their actions, the Israelis do not.

    • Translation: "I've suffered a lot while pushing Arabs outside Israel, but now I'm old and I think we should be kind with our neighbours and let them have the crowded, bombed ghettoes they live in. It's pretty clear they're not going to leave anyway."

  • Halper: Israel may attack Iran so that we won't hear the word 'Palestinian' for another 5 years
    • Why would Israel attack Iran?

I guess you people expect something like the operation in Syria, but I still can't see how this will help anything.
First, AFAIK, the Iranian installations are defended unlike the Syrian ones. Second, I seem to remember there are multiple facilities, already operating, so the attack should be on more fronts at once.
Third, even the slightest failure, like losing a plane or two, would make Israel look like an incompetent fool, instead of a dangerous fool.

IMHO, Israel knows that it's only chance against Iran is pushing the big dumb Americans to attack. But I don't think they can afford it either.

  • Germany takes a toy away from the spoiled child
  • Goldstone sugarcoats persecution to try to save Israel
    • Very good point Donald :))
But that doesn't change the fact that some people are more involved in this than others.

    • I don't say I don't trust it, or that I don't like it, I say there may be a point where things could change. Human nature really, no conspiracy here. :)

My point remains though, there are like 5 articles commenting on Goldstone's flip-flop, but not one discussing the obvious:
      1. Goldstone flip-flopped because he's Jewish
      2. Why was a Jew chosen in the first place? I mean in sports the referee must be neutral, but in international politics every time Israel is in the spotlight the world just can't find a non-Jew to make an investigation. I'm sure Mr. Goldstone's expertise could have been used somewhere else, and also that there are a lot of upstanding personalities that could have led that report.

    • You will not like this, and probably not approve my comment, but the real question is:
"Why would you trust any Jew about Palestine?"

I'm not trolling, but really, besides the fact that Jews are harder to label as anti-Semites, and taking into account that at some point, a choice may be required to be made between the truth and your own people, why should anyone trust anything that a Jew says regarding this subject? Or for that matter why would a Jew think it has the moral standing to comment on this? What is the point when any Jew will flip regarding this issue? Goldstone flipped when the community rejected him, how about the rest of you?

  • Caption contest
    • Sorry to crash your party but this is only theater. Is inconceivable that the US didn't know the outcome of the vote before the announcement. Hint: It was 107 vs. 14, even G.W. Bush could guess this one.

  • UNESCO votes to admit Palestine as a full member
  • Tahrir tells Oakland-- 'Don't afraid, go ahead'
    • Yeah, it's great, and a little surprising, to see people do care for each other. Let's hope it spreads. And let's hope it remains after the adversities have passed.

    • What a lesson in decency for every American!
The very same people that were sabotaged time and time again by the USA, and to a lesser extent by the rest of the "civilized world", extend their sympathy to the American people instead of a well deserved F-U!

How can one still believe the Arabs are maniacs propaganda?!

  • Breakthrough: 'Ynet' honestly seeks answer to question, How did American Jews get so rich?
    • I don't know, maybe I swallowed too much propaganda, but from my limited experience Jews do seem to be hard working individuals. They also have a crappy attitude of superiority, akin to Americans actually, and can't accept they're just normal folks, most of them not very bright, like all nations.

But besides that the help of the tribe I think is essential.

I have a personal curiosity, that I'll probably never be able satisfy, about how and why American corporations open high tech offices in Israel. I am guessing it's this tribe thing, a Jewish manager wanting to help his kind, because from a financial perspective they are as expensive as Americans, not to mention the periodical armed service, tons of holly days, and a socialist system governing layoffs (6 months pay on layoff, at my last job).

    • I actually like Rob Schneider :)))
Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, and many many others, bore me to death though.

    • Very interesting article.

If I may add my 2 cents, much of the prosperity is due to being a global minority that takes money from everybody but tends to spend it internally therefore giving a chance to succeed even to poorer or not so bright individuals. Of course, if it wasn't a minority this thing would have been called discrimination or racism or nepotism.

Also the mobility is a very big asset. While other people are reluctant to leave their own country Jews had no problem moving to better pastures when things start to stink. This is not as pronounced these days, but still significant.

And, do not forget the other motives: Hollywood ( link to en.wikipedia.org
      )
and the banking system that does not really need an explanation, because of the latest developments.

  • 'Washington Post' headline: US must reevaluate aid to Israel
    • That's interesting on many counts.
First is funny how Afganistan is listed as "foreign aid", when the money is spent for by American companies, for the US.
Second, how much of the money for Egypt and Jordan is spent so they get along with Israel? I'll bet most of it :D

  • Fat lady sings -- Israel announces new E J'lem neighborhod called Givat Hamatos
  • Boycott update: Champion fencer Sara Besbes stands down rather than plays Israeli
    • Suppose it was. How many top athletes even care about their coaches, not to mention the federation? If she wanted to spar, she would have done so. This is personal conviction at its best, not coercion, in my opinion. She comes from a well known fencing family, with real performances. It's very probable she cares about this sport, and about winning, because you don't take part in sporting events of this size without wanting to win. She most probably wanted to beat the Israeli fencer with all her heart, but instead she chose to lose. Five times in a row....

    • An Israeli hitting an unarmed Arab? I can almost taste the irony of the situation.
Maximum respect for Sara, and all the other people ready do make sacrifices for justice.

  • Do we really need another 'Gandhi'?
    • No, we don't need no Gandhi, we need another Muhammad.

As for Gandhi, he wasn't the hippy people think he was. The Ben Kingsley movie is a great portrait as far as I can tell. The guy chose non-violence because he firmly believed it would work. When asked about it he also said that if he sees non-violence doesn't work, he would rather turn to violence than just suck it up.
He also advocated non-violent resistance for the Jews against the Nazis. He also said "why can't Jews be like other people and just call the country where they live home?", which would make him a rabid anti-Semite by today's standards, except even the Zionists understand that you cannot throw shit on Mahatma Gandhi and expect to win.

Then he was like puppy eyes: We are a small country, surrounded by savages! Only true democracy (I hope some Egiptian plants a shoe in his face soon. With or without the foot.)! We are defenselessness and afraid!!!
Then he was like all childish: We gave the Palestinians our toy and they didn't want it! Please US make the mean Palestinians go away! Boohooho!

    • That's exactly what I thought. Bringing Brooklyn into the conversation, and stuff. I watch the USA most than other people and I have no frikin' idea what the distance between Cincinnati and Bumhole University, or whatever, is.
This was clearly directed at the USA media to spin into oblivion.

On the other hand, lies, and lies, and lies. Very convincing lies, I give him that. I find it hard not to hate this guy when I see how absolute his lies are when blood still keeps pouring with his direct approval. A very nasty and dangerous man indeed.

    • Does anyone want to guess what bullshit will Netanyahu bring to the table?

  • Israel's remaining friends rally around flag outside of UN
  • Israeli Settlers: 'Arabs' attacked us first . . . with harsh language
  • But Americans favor Palestinian statehood bid, 45-36%
    • It's a strange world we live in, free people thinking other people shouldn't be free, even with no consequence whatsoever for them.
Anyway, I find the poll a little strange, by direct observation I would say that, in my country, at least 50%, have no idea what Palestine or Israel is. But I guess about 20% of those people will still vote just so they don't look stupid. So, it adds up in the end.

  • (Prediction) Perry's bodacious gauntlet to Obama on Israel means '60 Minutes' will finally put Walt & Mearsheimer in American living rooms
    • For the first time, in the last few years that I followed the events and history of the Middle East, this kind of remarks actually amuse me.
Before there where the big and rich racists spewing propaganda for more land and power and riches, and the uninformed public either believing it or not caring. Now there are the same racists, but in a complete free fall, pouring more and more money in the same stupid propaganda.

For me, the Palestinians have already won, all the world recognizes them, China and Russia do, and most of all, they are no longer the subject of discussion between locals and Middle East "experts", they are a public subject and the masses will side with them, in the end.

USA can use it's veto, but you cannot veto reality. For all the civilized, and uncivilized, world Palestine has been recognized as a state by the rest of the world. And by delaying the inevitable both the USA and Israel will dipper dig their respective holes.

  • US ambassador to Israel says 'test of every US policy in Middle East' is-- does it secure Israel?
    • I know the US ambassador is supposed to represent US interests, but I guess no one here believes that. So, as an Israeli representative he has a long way to go before he can equal the humiliation inflicted on the Turkish ambassador. That was the high point of Israeli arrogance, and any state's arrogance, i believe, ever.

  • Pro-Israel lobbyists work to save Palestinian Authority funding (and why should this be a surprise?)
    • How about instead of strange convoluted motives, a more simple motive.
If USA doesn't give some aid to the Palestinians even the most hard headed will finally see what was clear all along: "US only cares about the Jews!".
There was and there isn't no tentative to make peace, or to give the Palestinians anything, the aid was just for PR purposes. It's easier to paint an impartial picture when you also give some scraps to the bad Arabs.

As for keeping PA potty trained? Why do it publicly? The Pentagon has enough secret budget to give each kid, and his dog, in Palestine a personal airplane.

  • Shame on Israel: Jews who kill
    • Why now? Why all this shame now? Palestinians have been killed for lesser offences for a while now. What did you expect in the beginning? Did you expect all of them to just go somewhere else to make way for your dream land?
I guess it's better late that never. But I wouldn't give any of you a badge for this.

  • 'September: The Threat of an Opportunity' - Israeli settlers plan to confront Palestinian demonstrators
  • First lady of Palestinian rap features Dead Prez's official video for 'The Kufiyyeh is Arabic'
  • Be careful when you play that Jewish card
    • Am I the only one that sees the irony in this?
I mean Jews hiding their identity so they're not discriminated against and now non Jews saying they're Jews so they are not discriminated against?

  • Forward says NYT is 'unabashed about the Jewishness' of its leadership. Is it?
    • Yeah, nice! Pat yourself on the back!
You have what 10 million Jews in 300 millions Americans?
But those Jews just happens, are more hardworking that the rest of the USA. And they are the vast majority in Hollywood and journalism and banking.

Doesn't this strike you as odd?

Do you really think Jews rediscovered themselves as the greatest actors in the world, for example? I mean, you can hardly find good actors from 300 million Americans, but there are plenty Jews that are great. I mean, you can't expect to find someone as good as the great Ben Stiller, but maybe Americans could top Steven Seagal?

How about some little logic, like: we know Jews stick together, could it be that.... maybe.... they prefer Jews when hiring? And that will explain the mathematically improbable concentration of Jews in moviemaking, journalism and banking?
Forget it! Nevermind! This can't happen! Hard work and talent and God's gift is the answer!

  • Rightwing Israelis stage race-baiting action, bringing Sudanese refugees to posh Tel Aviv pool
    • It's funny when all the world tries to show Israel is apartheid, because of the Palestinian people, only to be proved wrong because Israel is apartheid because any non Jewish people.
OK, maybe funny is not the word for this.

  • Egypt charges American citizen with being spy for Mossad
    • It's good to see the USA caring about it's citizens. I can only hope he gets all the support that Furgan Dogan received. And his family too!!! They must be devastated!

  • Silence over EU science grants to Israel’s war machine
    • Maybe I'm wrong in guessing that most of the export is done in the USA. After all I don't know any other country that has the same rights to export military hardware intro the USA as Israel. Hence the "rise" of the Israeli military technology. Not to mention that you can export stuff in the USA and then receive it back for free in aid, no matter the initial cost, it's just simple bookkeeping really.
More to the subject, I'd be very interested in finding out who exactly where the people who approved the grants. People seem to focus on , more or less, fictive entities more than on particular people having the power of decision. EU is a big bureaucracy and if I were to guess, I'd say that a couple of well placed Zionist supporters could very well divert that much money to Israel. And the motivation would be easy to lose in this big bureaucracy .

  • He wrote me back
    • The idiots and insecure all around the world, same MO, playing tough while they are scared shitless. The real problem is the system empowering these sad excuses for humans. It's easy to be "tough", and "funny" while you hold all the cards. What happened to live and let live, it's an obsolete concept?
