One big question about the Jesse Jackson/Zionists/Obama story in the NY Post is, How did Amir Taheri get the quotes? Jeff Blankfort has a scenario:
The Republican Jewish Coalition issued a press release about
Jackson's quotes as soon as the NY Post hit the stands, and Obama's
headquarters immediately issued a denial that Jackson has anything to
do with the campaign or that Obama would not be fully loyal to Israel
or its messenger, AIPAC. The whole thing was a set-up. The columnist,
Amer Taheri is an Iranian who worked as a "journalist" under the Shah
and is in bed with the neocons. When Jackson saw him in France, he assumed this man of Middle East
appearance was anti-Israel and Jackson released his frustrations that
have been pent-up ever since the pro-Israel crowd brought him down in 84 and have
never stopped beating on him no matter how many times he kisses their
butts. On the other hand, he hasn't been a big supporter of Obama
either so maybe this was an opportunity to make BO squirm a little. I
think it was the first version. Jackson got sandbagged by the Murdoch
stooge.
It's interesting that Jackson is getting slammed for his statements, which are basically true, but meantime the Republican Jewish Coalition is saying that Obama is inviting another Holocaust, and there isn't widespread outrage. Though in LA, an Obama surrogate, former congressman Mel Levine, is refusing to debate the RJC because of its invective. Levine told the LA Jewish Journal: “The RJC’s tactics have been continually dishonest, and the campaign
has made a decision to not keep getting on the same stage with them.” Maybe the Jewish community's not a monolith? Let's talk about the Occupied Territories.
