Daniel Pipes is some kind of visiting fellow at Stanford U's Hoover Institution. Here he argues that Barack Obama was raised Muslim and has ties to extremist Islamists (in which category Pipes seems to includ CAIR of all places) and is a security risk for the U.S. Isn't it amazing that a guy who has so misplaced his marbles has a perch at a prestige institution? How long will that last?
Sort of like extremist Dore Gold keeping his $96,000 a year seat as a "scholar" at the American Enterprise Institute. Being an optimist, I think the neocons are all going into the dustbin d'histoire come Nov. 4. Further evidence: Jewish surrogates for Obama have now cancelled two events with Republican Jewish Coalition speakers, in California and Pennsylvania, because they object to the RJC's crazed invective that portrays Obama as Ahmadinejad's valet. The New Reasonable Center wants nothing to do with the neocons. They are being forced off the stage. And when Obama wins, they are really gone.
I guess this was foreshadowed by the blacking out of Douglas Feith's book last spring by the mainstream press. The neocons are not going to go quietly. They're gonna scream–and point out that Mel Levine and Hillary were for the Iraq war. Much as Colin Powell blamed Congress for the Iraq war on Meet the Press Sunday, and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs for it in Karen DeYoung's book. Pointed fingers everywhere. One day we're going to have a great Jewish soul searching over the Iraq war, I promise.
