Because neoconservative Eli Lake famously has poor impulse control (it takes one to know one), he should probably have not gotten a twitter feed. But he has, and he has been seeking to discredit the critics of the neoconservatives by suggesting that we are Larouchies. Wow. Here’s his latest, attacking Josh Micah Marshall at TPM, who made the sane point that both sides of the political discourse have their fringes, but the Republicans are embracing their fringe. Lake:

I actually met Larouchies last week outside Congressman Steve Rothman’s townhall. They had posters of Obama as Hitler, and doctored photographs of Obama embracing Hitler. The idea that anyone on the left listens to these people is pure mental savagery. Eli Lake is off his nut.
