Curtis Sliwa says opposition to Iran deal needs more ‘righteous gentiles’

on 12 Comments

Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, was at last night’s rally against the Iran deal. But he told me he wasn’t allowed to speak and the organizers need “righteous gentiles” to speak out. “You got plenty of Jews.”

Sliwa lost a media gig a few months back over sexist comments he made about Melissa Mark-Viverito, City Council speaker.

In this video from 2013 , Slywa said “Israel must lead and America will follow.Another American traitor and fifth columner.

This Iran deal sure has the zionists dragging the bottom of the barrel for supporters. It,s all good.

If I understand what Sliwa was saying, he was complaining that they wouldn’t let him speak (i.e. they “gave him the bum’s rush”*). Furthermore, he was saying that there were too many Jewish speakers (“countin’ the Jews”), and that they needed to have more “righteous gentile” speakers like himself.
    Do I have that right?

Here is some background. Sliwa was born into a Catholic family of Assyrian, Polish and Italian descent. The Assyrian language is closely related to Aramaic, which was spoken in Palestine in Jesus’ time and is used in Talmudic commentary and certain Jewish religious rites such as the wedding ceremony. However, it is not clear whether Silwa knows Aramaic or even Assyrian. His public statements appear to be in English. That may be why he was not allowed to speak.

Trust me. Curtis speaks only English, full of malapropisms, but it’s still English.

      Please leave him alone.

This guy is still around? His street-vigilante gig wore thin years ago. When he tries to step outside his chosen persona to comment on world affairs he’s in deep water immediately and becomes nothing more than a floundering buffoon. Can’t imagine he’d have a word worth listening to when discussing the Iran deal.

THANK YOU, BOO. He was past his due date over 25 years ago. Is he still riding around pretending to know what’s going on in his red Che Guevera hat? Jesus, he’s a 70-year-old in a girdle still thinking he can hook.

Just what the world needs, a rebel without a clue, in search of a cause.

Silwa shouldn’t take it too hard. They organizers had overbooked the Jewish crazies so there wasn’t enough time for him.

Violent, righteous Galileans have made enough trouble for the world.
