Israeli soldiers are almost never prosecuted for killings in the occupied Palestinian territory, the Israeli human rights group Yesh Din said yesterday. Over the past 15 years no Israeli officers were indicted for murder, and only one soldier was convicted of homicide in the case of the killing of a foreign national. During this time Israeli forces killed more than 5,500 Palestinians and ten foreign nationals in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

On Monday, April 11, 2016, Dan Cohen went to Jerusalem’s Zion Square to ask Israelis for their thoughts on Bernie Sanders, the Jewish-American presidential candidate. Nearly all of the Israelis he spoke to had strong dislike for Sanders, and many disparaged him, even disqualifying him as a Jew.

Abdul-Razeq Farraj, who has spent over 15 years of his life in Israeli prisons, reviews Mai Masri’s latest film “3000 nights,” which tells the story of Palestinian female prisoners facing Israeli interrogations, torture and violations. Farraj writes, “The film brought me back to my rusted prison bed.”

Haaretz reports that Goldman Sachs has a “clear pattern” of giving to Israeli settler and rightwing groups through their Charitable Gift Fund. Of course, Hebron settlers aren’t the only ones experiencing Goldman largesse. Bernie Sanders has made an issue of the $675,000 Clinton received in speaking fees from the investment house just in 2013.

Israeli forces on Tuesday demolished a children’s playground near Nablus amid a mass escalation in demolitions across the occupied territories. A PA official who monitors settlement activity in the northern West Bank told Ma‘an that Israeli authorities gave no prior notice before demolishing the park, which was built last year with around $60,000 donated by Belgium.
