Former Mossad official: Children in Gaza over the age of 4 deserve to be starved

In an interview on Israeli television, former Mossad official Rami Igra said all Palestinians in Gaza over the age of 4 are "involved" and deserve to face Israel's collective punishment policy of withholding food and humanitarian aid.

Israel’s genocidal moral depravity keeps plunging into new depths.

On Tuesday, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster ran a news program for “the 130th day of the war” hosted by the veteran Ayala Hasson. During the program, she interviewed former Mossad official Rami Igra, who had been head of the spy and assassination agency’s “Captive & Missing Division.”

Igra echoed President Isaac Herzog’s claim that there are “no uninvolved [civilians] in Gaza.” Igra emphasizes the point by saying “There is no such thing,” as Hasson disrupts him in agreement with an affirming “You’re right, you’re right.”

Igra then goes on to specify this genocidal axiom in a bizarre manner, exempting children below age four:

“In Gaza, everyone is involved. Everyone voted Hamas. Anyone over the age of four is a Hamas supporter. And our goal at the moment, and this is in continuation of what you said, is to turn them from Hamas supporters to Hamas dislikers.”

This unhinged, delusional message is coupled with a supposedly “humanitarian” approach:

“And the way is supplying the humanitarian aid, through us.”

So, this enlightened colonialist is saying that if Israel, rather than UNRWA (which Israel is harassing, tarnishing, and lobbying to defund), will be the supplier, then the Palestinians will learn to love Israel!

Within the Israeli genocide machine, everyone knows that the phrase “everyone is involved” means that everyone can be killed. Everyone knows that. So Hasson finds a need to moderate the message a bit, but she first points to her general agreement with the message:

“OK, so look, regarding the uninvolved, every house in Gaza is a Hamas HQ, weapons, Al Aqsa, everything, all the signs are there.”

Hasson actually gives him that. This is not in question. “Every house in Gaza.”

But now, some liberalism:

“And still, how did you say, children from the age of zero to four? They are uninvolved – maybe when they grow up they will be [involved]. In the meantime, you cannot starve them – they are children, there’s nothing to do.”

So let’s just summarize this mind-boggling logic. Hasson understands that Igra is speaking about genocidal collective punishment – using starvation as a weapon of war – but argues that those under four should not be starved because “they are children.” Ergo, a toddler who hits age four, is no longer a child and, therefore, may now be starved.

“I agree with you,” Igra states

“This is in the interest of us all,” Hasson adds.

“It’s also against our interest,” Igra confirms.

“Yes, exactly,” Hasson concurs.

One could almost cry from emotion about the amazing consensus that these two liberals arrive at. They started from the mainstream view that all Gazans are fair game for genocide, but now they have managed to find common ground in a more nuanced view that children under the age of four should be considered children

Israelis have no idea as to the depth of the moral abyss they have sunk. This is a genocidal culture that is so deprived that you can’t make it up, and they still believe they are on top of things. They are certainly on top of Palestinians right now, but they have completely lost it. And so have those who continue to support this abomination in the name of democracy and shared values.

I picked up on this story from Juan Cole’s Informed Comment blog this morning, and made it the basis of a comment I sent to the NYT. It hasn’t got past the gatekeepers and experience tells me that comments quoting Israeli politicians and officials saying such outrageous things never get through. I wonder why?

Israel’s genocidal moral depravity keeps plunging into new depths.”

For years, they have tried to justify their ILLEGAL OCCUPATION, land theft, and collective punishment, by blaming the victims of their oppression, and telling the world that they were hated by the Palestinians, but now this time, the world is opening its sleepy eyes to the fact that it is ONE side that keeps showing the hatred, by starving over 2 million people, depriving them of clean water, medicines, medical help, displacing them, bombing their homes into rubble (as their leaders always called for), and have killed little children and babies, in unprecedented numbers. They are vicious and cruel, and don’t care who they kill. Just like the nazis did years ago.

What about the the RIGHTS of little children who are being slaughtered on a daily basis?
They were ALL born inside a concentration camp, with no freedom, no rights, and had no way out of the hell they were put into by their oppressor, a vicious entity that inflicts pain and suffering, and expects these poor people to keep being subservient, and taking their punishment every day. What they have been dong to these imprisoned people, should make any human being hate them, but the hatred seems to be coming from the oppressor, who bombs them, when they resist or protest too much.

After all International law allows them to do so:

“Long ago, it was settled that resistance and even armed struggle against a colonial occupation force is not just recognised under international law but specifically endorsed.
In accordance with international humanitarian law, wars of national liberation have been expressly embraced, through the adoption of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 (pdf), as a protected and essential right of occupied people everywhere.
Finding evolving vitality in humanitarian law, for decades the General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA) – once described as the collective conscience of the world – has noted the right of peoples to self-determination, independence and human rights.”

Is “defending themselves” only an entitlement for those who are ILLEGALLY OCCUPYING?
The US acts like the OCCUPIED have no LEGAL RIGHTS, never speaks of it, or advocates for them. Shame on us.

‘I’m losing the desire to belong to a country that kills 11,000 children,” a well-known Israeli playwright and screenwriter, Motti Lerner, told a crowd at a literary event in Israel. ” He went on to compare the actions of key figures in Nazi Germany who killed thousands of children, to those of the Israeli army, which has killed more than 10,000 children in Gaza.’

IDF Let Israeli Civilians Film Torture of Palestinian Detainees: Report
“This is beyond military occupation, apartheid, economic exploitation, and all the rest,” asserted one journalist. “There is something extremely sickening happening here.”

“Israel Defense Forces officers brought Israeli civilians into detention centers and allowed them to watch and film Palestinian prisoners being tortured, according to survivor testimonies published this week by the Geneva-based Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor.

Prisoners held at detention centers in Zikim on the northern border of the Gaza Strip and at a site in southern Israel affiliated with Naqab Prison “told Euro-Med Monitor that the Israeli soldiers had purposefully presented them before Israeli civilians, falsely claiming that they were fighters affiliated with Palestinian armed factions and that they had taken part in the October 7 attack on Israeli towns,” the group said.

The former detainees said groups of 10-20 Israeli civilians were brought in and allowed to record torture sessions in which the men, stripped nearly naked, were beaten with metal batons, electrocuted, and had hot water poured over their heads. The ex-prisoners said some of the Israelis laughed while filming their torture.”

So a million children should be killed or starved, together with their families, for Israel’s political and military failures on the 7th of October? Israeli behaviour is so sickening. I dread turning on my iPad to read about the latest developments. I don’t want to do it, but feel obligated to witness what my country, Canada, is supporting.

As sickening as the Israeli behaviour, I find the support provided by western governments and mainstream media even more sickening. We have learned nothing from history. The hypocrisy and double standards (aka racism) coming from so-called liberal democracies is nauseating. The very same countries who are always so keen to lecture other countries about human rights and western values. Even this week, my government was lecturing Venezuela about human rights at the same time it was continuing to send military aid to the child killers, “the only democracy in the Middle East,”
