And their response is, Israel is nothing like South Africa, and cannot be ostracized.

But the Times’s respectful view disappeared suddenly yesterday — after Human Rights Watch released a landmark report finding that “Israeli officials have committed the crimes against humanity of apartheid and persecution.” The paper’s slanted report quotes two people in support of the finding, one of them Palestinian, and five people attacking the charge. Imagine writing a report on apartheid South Africa and quoting only one black South African.

The New York Times says presumed Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facility reflects “yearslong shadow war between Iran and Israel,” but almost all hostility has come from Israel in a transparent effort to scuttle the Iran deal. But Alice Rothchild writes that boars are actually a tool of occupation: Jewish settlements outside Nablus frequently blocked access to the local villages, burned their farms and olive trees, and raised wild pigs that they released into Palestinian farms.
