One of the pleasures, or afflictions, of the Hudson Valley is the omnipresence of Alan Chartock on public radio. Chartock is a political observer and professor. I will bite my tongue and note that some people evidently love him. Anyway, just now, commenting on Hillary’s tears, he said that he went into a store in the Berkshires yesterday and a lady asked him who he was voting for. "I told her who I was voting for and then asked her who she was voting for." Well, Hillary; being a woman, etc. An analysis then followed. I bridled. A columnsit expects a source/civilian to tell him who she’s voting for, to be paraded on air, and doesn’t want to disclose his own choice, presumably because he is professional and objective. Not to mention arrogant.

Blogroll

You really are grumpy today.
Hillary won by 3% in a very small state.
Her crying in an interview was really silly. Either she was acting (a disgrace) or she can't stand the stress of public life (not a source of confidence).
My son considers her a poll-driven power-hungry politician.
Entitled.
Both Obama and Clinton received the same number of delegates from New Hampshire, which assigns delegates on a proportional basis.
Its media play, not substance.
Noone "won".

I dunno. I'm unnerved how the Clinton team is celebrating her almost-tears as if they were tantamount to a incredibly shrewd political masterstroke. If it was set up (which I would not put past them), then they are being awfully brazen heralding it in the aftermath — and the public is awfully silly for swallowing it; if it was spontaneous and genuine, then they should rise above and not crow so smugly about it. There are miles to go, and who can say where the Edwards vote will go.
Realistically, from a goy perspective, we have two, and only two, possible winners in the USA presidential circus:
Hillary – she of the pro Iraq war, beloved of AIPAC qualifications. She cries very well though, kudos.
or
Obama – he of the no actual experience nor accomplishments in life. He is a damn fine speaker though, kudos.
How should a goy feel?
Ecstatic!
Can we imagine 4 more years of bush or one of the republican candidates winning?
What is Hillary's actual experience? A failed health plan as first lady, and 7 years as a Senator of no concern. Flying around as the wife of the president does not qualify you as president, no more than being the son of a former prime minister qualifies you to run the opposition party… at 19.
This is not to say Obama has experience, but I haven't seen how Hillary's experience makes her so much more qualified. 7 years to 3 actually having to be in government, and not just ruling by decree.
