Yes, a picture says a thousand words. But here are a few more from the Jerusalem Post article "Lieberman auditioning for Foreign Affairs portfolio":
"The senator requested the meeting, because he
wanted to better understand the Israel Beiteinu leader's views. He
advised his namesake to go to the US to explain his views."
"Though
we're not related by blood, we are privileged to hold positions in two
great nations," the senator said after the meeting. "I wanted to meet
Lieberman, because he will play an important role in the next
government, so it's important that we in the US get to know him well."
As we've already noted, the full court press is on to sell the incoming Israeli government to the US public. The New York Times is smoothing over Benjamin Netanyahu's plans for apartheid in the occupied territories and Joe Lieberman is trying to share some of his "Joementum" with his fascist Israeli namesake to help him in his bid to become the new Israeli foreign minister.
Israel Beiteinu MK Danny Ayalon, and former Israeli ambassador to Washington, would seem to invite an Avigdor Lieberman trip to the US to sell his loyalty oath plan. According to Ayalon: "I told [Joe Lieberman] that we are the most Americanophile party," Ayalon said. "We support drafting a constitution, an
American system of
government, and instituting a pledge of allegiance like America has."
Here's a bit of free advice to Ayalon: as someone who mumbled their way through the US pledge of allegiance for 12 years of public school, I can promise you there is no one in the US who will confuse your plan to kick Palestinian citizens out of the state of Israel with the pledge that is recited here. I would assume Joe Lieberman is giving you better advice than this for your upcoming attempt to try to fool the American people into supporting your racist agenda. I could be wrong.

"We support drafting a constitution, an American system of government, and instituting a pledge of allegiance like America has."
The only item on that list that would be helpful is the first. If Israel adopted an American-style winner-take-all system, the right-wing would win every time due to the culture of paranoia, fear and xenophobia in Israel, and would be able to hold a permanent majority by playing the security card every election. So this appears to by a fascist ploy, as it has in some ways become in America as well.
Also, note that Joe Lieberman, former Democratic candidate for Vice President of the United States, is now openly endorsing a fascist. Are there still some who don't believe the left-liberal establishment is hopelessly corrupt, viciously cynical, and capable of government-worshipping quasi-fascism itself?
If Joe Lieberman doesn't show us what is wrong with having Israel firsters and Lukid zionist in the US congress nothing will. I have nightmares thinking about how I voted for Kerry and Lieberman in 2000, they could have been worse than Bush.
I don't really have any hope for America any longer, the sooner we crash the better. We need to hit bottom so we can start over.
When your government represents a foreign country instead of it's own and will endorse war,war crimes, genocide, population transfers..for campaign contributions and votes from one minority portion of it's citizens then it's over already…it just hasn't been officially pronounced dead yet.
America is not going to crash any time soon. Nor is the support for our ally.
Israel and the Palestinians could make peace tomorrow, and the same fringe subgroup in America and Europe would still find a reason to demonize Israel. It's written into their cultural DNA at this point.
Suzanne: "It's written into their cultural DNA at this point."
I suspect that that's a reference to Christianity. And this explains why factions of organized Jewry and governemnt worshippers have worked painstakingly to eliminate Christianity from Western civilization (even though it is the foundation of Western civilization), or as Suzannne puts it, reduce it to a "fringe subgroup in America and Europe".
They are attempting to the same in the Mideast. That is what "changing the face of the Middle East" (a phrase used by James Woolsey, yet another fascist Democrat) is all about.

"We support drafting a constitution, an American system of government, and instituting a pledge of allegiance like America has."
The difference is that America is a democracy. Thus its constitution begins "We the People". Unless Israel were to become a democracy, its constitution would begin "We the Jews", not quite the same thing.
Nothing like a little antisemitism to drive Phil's point home.
There went the truce, Phil's Phools have launched their attack. It will end just like Hamas, whining to the press how disproportional their spanking happened to be
Well, this new policy lasted all but a good 10 minutes. haha!
Let's face it. Humans are a bunch of tribalist pain in the arses.
I think women should rule!
A Zionist criticizing others for "whining to the press" is really comical. The entire country of Israel has been financed and enabled by American politicians for decades as a result of Zionists "whining to the press."
Thank you for your whine, ed.
I have nightmares thinking about how I voted for Kerry and Lieberman in 2000, they could have been worse than Bush.
American

I know what you mean. It goes beyond holding one's nose to pull the lever but actually seriously regretting the choice.
Although, much as the Bush misadministration revealed many of the flaws of neo-conservatism, Lieberman may have helped pull back the veil of his Zionist-first mentality for the American people.
Perhaps it would be helpful to compile a list of Avigdor Lieberman's racist and extremist statements, a sort of "Quotations of Chairman Avigdor," and make sure they are easy to find, and can be sent as a link to Congresspersons and newspaper editors, as well as disseminated around the internet. If the NYTimes is going to put a happy face this type of leadership, let the progress of their fall from credibility be accelerated.
By the way, Hollywood embracing Slum Dog was perhaps a defining, end-of-Zionist-control moment. The American dream, set to Indian music and culture, retold in the case of a poor Muslim urchin orphaned by a Hindu mob swinging cricket bats as they attack the Muslims "contaminating" their neighborhood, yet overcoming all odds, holding out for decency and love, withstanding torture due to commitment to truth, to almost universal acclaim. Truly exceptional!
The sentence that bothers me is this: I wanted to meet Lieberman, because he will play an important role in the next government, so it's important that we in the US get to know him well."
This attitude that we, a country of 300 million, go hat in hand to mollify a nation of six million people is unacceptable.
It is not important that we get to know him well. It is important that we determine what our policies are going to be vis-a-vis the Middle East and that we fix our own economy first.
Looks like Joe isn't paying much attention to those "liberal" Zionists who warn against Avigdor. I think I'm with G. Levy, though. Israel needs to show its honest face to the world. However, Avenry's column of the 21st conjures up all manner of horrors if this happens.
Israel is suffering the worst case of leadership vacuum it's ever seen.
Both Liebermans should be helped to come fully out of the Israel First closet. The sooner, the better so that the American masses may see the zionist light shining from the hands of both kissin' cousins.
PS, to those who voted for Kerry-Lieberman as a vote against DUI-End time BushCo: you had no choice
given the American plutocratic method of campaign finance, coupled with the two-party system that equals one party on the subject of Israel. There's always hope, and for the same reasons, you likely voted for Obama. Too bad nothing will change until the combo of war with Iran coupled with Fed "Reserve"-Wall Street's next
agenda, and within the current economic crisis , will bring down the house of neo-Rothschild cards.
Avigdor Lieberman is Israel's David Duke. Joe Lieberman has no business meeting with him. This is not simply a matter of Joe having a tin ear. Joe is implicitly endorsing the expulsion of Arab Israelis. The Arabfrei Jewish State. And Joe approves.
No one voted for Kerry-Lieberman. Perhaps this tells us that Citizen is a Jordanian, certainly not an American.
"By the way, Hollywood embracing Slum Dog was perhaps a defining, end-of-Zionist-control moment."
I don't think so, Doppler. Hollywood has been trying to break into Bollywood's market for some time, and what better way to do it than dole out Oscars to an Indian movie?
Kate Winslet's Oscar sends a different signal about the end of Zionist control in Hollywood.
@ Suzanne: "Let's face it. Humans are a bunch of tribalist pain in the arses."
That's right, Suzanne. Racial tribes. Political tribes. Religious tribes. And until we adopt libertarianism, they'll forever be trying to use the government to get at one another's throats.
Re: Slumdog
Maybe, but the flip side is that the Israel-India alliance is gearing up.
Had Lieberman become President (let's say if Gore had died) – he would've nuked Iran, Syria, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. And the MSM would've been too petrified to criticize him. Thank God the little vuntz has been relegated to the backbench sewers of Congress.
“A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within….for the traitor appears not to be a traitor…he rots the soul of a nation…he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.”
Cicero
Et tu, Lieberman?
Which one?
Both of them!
@ Citizen
LOL. If the Levites were a line of Jewish priests, maybe the Liebermans are a line of Jewish fifth columnists ushering in fascism.
"the little vuntz"
vuntz?
Great quote, Citizen.
That concept always reminds me of the German operatives during the Battle of the Bulge. If you don't know who to trust, you can wind up in a world of hurt. Same idea with "The Thing" or "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
I can imagine what Goebbels would do with those movies; instead we have Hollywood, from Exodus to
the latest pop flick with obvious ethnic characters, and all those TV sitcoms, also with obvious ethnic characters, regardless of their player name in many cases.
this is just to much. not sure what to think.
