I have a new mantra: Two State Solution Needed for U.S. and Israel. I’m going to keep repeating it till I’m blue-and-white in the face. (Get it?) Where do our borders stop? Where does our sovereignty blur away into Israelness? Who’s the loyal opposition, and where’s its loyalty? Haaretz: Obama’s lost Senate seat is a victory for Netanyahu [emphasis mine]:
No Israeli politician matches his steps to the political goings-on in the U.S. as much as Netanyahu. He dragged out negotiations over the settlement freeze and then decided it would last for 10 months and end in September – just in time for U.S. Congressional elections in which Democrats are expected to suffer heavy losses.
Netanyahu understood he must withstand the pressure until his right-wing supporters recapture a position of power on Capitol Hill and work to rein in the White House’s political activities. The election in Massachusetts, one of the most liberal states in America, will from this moment on be a burden for Obama.
Proponents of the peace process will view this as a missed opportunity for Obama, who spent his first year in office on fruitless diplomatic moves that failed to restart talks between Israel and the Palestinians. From now on, it will be harder for Obama.

I personally have tried to stop referring to the settlements as illegal, and instead refer the settlers as criminals. I think such a change in language is useful, as illegal, especially in the wake or the Iraq war, has lost it’s meaning. Whereas criminal suggests something or someone that runs contrary to all nations.
so clearly written by an israeli outsider to american politics
anyone that has followed obama’s first year sees clearly that the “change” was merely superficial.
America’s neo-imperial foreign policy continues and is strengthened, if anything i see the lack of support from the president to the democrat candidate as an indicator.
now he has a political scapegoat, a republican candidate, to blame his continued bush policies as out of his hands due to the “rebuplican” congress
Why Einstein, that’s exactly what I would have written! Yep, the minute that Obama didn’t stop Bush’s wars and demand an accounting from the US military and intelligence agencies, he was toast.
I am getting the sinking feeling that Obama thinks he got elected on his own merit, instead of a reaction to Bush and the Bush Republicans.
And Obama made no moves to re-gain control of the military, so they are always free to up-stage or subvert him.
Or does Obama think the exact same people as were in on the start of Bush’s wars were saving the victory or good outcome for him?
But there it is again, the ziocaine hypothesis! They can be rational, even smart about stuff, as long as the ziocaine doesn’t get started. When it does, they’re lost to rationality.
“I am getting the sinking feeling that Obama thinks he got elected on his own merit, instead of a reaction to Bush and the Bush Republicans.”
His actions (and lack of actions, as you specify) sure appear to show Obama is so self-afflicted.
zionists in US were using US health care reform somehow as a lever for resolution of IP conflict. I heard it hinted at a training seminar held by J Street: “we have to tell Obama, “We’ve got your back on a two-state solution.” “Obama’s intervention is essential for Israel.” but “Obama is not the president of Israel.” “After Obama gets health care done, he will be empowered to press a two-state solution.” but “Dennis Ross wrote that the two-state solution will ultimately result in a failed Palestinian state.”
Yesterday, the election of Scott Brown signalled serious challenges for a health care bill that had significant rewards for pharmaceutical giants like Teva, and for the thousand or more Jewish-endowed hospital wings throughout the nation, another part of the Israeli takeover of the US.
Today, a pathetically bleating Obama issued a statement: “Perhaps I was too ambitious in trying to get Israel and Palestine to work on a two-state solution. Our efforts have not succeeded….”
Bibi wins again.
Obama is more a tool of the Israel lobby than ever.
Take a look at this, Rahm is modeling just how he intends to sink the hook in Obama’s nose link to docudharma.com
Your song is OK, Phil: “Two States, US and Israel.”
I like Old Blue-eyes’ tune better, from a US standpoint: “I did it my way.”
time for Israel to get the hell out of US government, DoD, media, and hospitals.
Efforts? What efforts? Obama made no effort, he applied no force, he did nothing. Obama doesn’t know the difference between action and empty words. What he did was announce his weakness, his inability or unwillingness to make a real effort, to act at all.
All he did was make himself look like poor pitiful Obama Twist, standing with his empty bowl, “Please, Sir, may I have a construction freeze?”
And Beadle Netanyahu threw him into the coal hole.
The embedded Youtube video in the docudharma site, “Hitler finds out Scott Brown won Massachusetts” is hilarious.
The Ha’aretz headline was misleading, as if Netanyahu had any credit to take for the victory in MA. He’ll only take advantage of it, as he did in the timing of his announcement that he insists on controlling the borders of any Palestinian state.
This, of course, is why he’s pushing so hard for “peace talks” to get Abbas to sign off on a surrender document. I think people should just call them “surrender talks” to make the point entirely clear.
But we already have a “two state” solution–
And nothing’s changed in the last five years. Nothing like having a de facto 51 state of the US union–and, simultaneously, it’s a subversive rogue state:

The latest on Israeli espionage in the United States from Haaretz: U.S. Jew indicted as possible Israel spy
Two attorneys in the counterespionage unit of the U.S. Department’s of Justice National Security division, Deborah Curtis and Heather Schmidt, presented documents found on the scientist’s computer. One document, titled “Proposed Operations for 2005-2006,” referred to the need to carry out “a penetration of NASA,” the U.S. space agency. Another document, according to the prosecution, shows Nozette attempted to obtain highly confidential material by using his high-level security clearance and infiltrating other people’s computers.
The Jonathan Pollard case brought an end to all spying activities; there is a clear directive from prime ministers, defense ministers, Military Intelligence chiefs and the Mossad on this matter. But the U.S. media and the administration officials have a hard time believing Israel on this subject, and the Nozette case does not contribute to clearing the atmosphere of suspicion regarding future intentions.
CM: Americans have a hard time believing Israel on this subject because we keep catching Israeli spies. A great Israeli “contribution to clearing the atmosphere of suspicion regarding [their] future intentions” would be for them to stop stealing from us. I wonder if Pres. Obama will quash this investigation.
Not a grand moment in Massachusetts history. All adults in the b. household voted for Coakley, but she ran an aloof campaign, and Brown was able to exploit the Obama as n*gger socialist meme skillfully enough to carry the state. (One handmade sign in my hometown shouted, ‘Obama – Stay out of our Race!’ Hard to miss the subconscious double entendre.)
Both Brown and Coakley are cookie-cutter hacks. Re that homemade sign–well, for sure you are informing us of your mind in the matter.
Yes, both candidates are spawn of the party machines. Coakley’s campaign pledged to advocate for a withdrawal of troops from SW Asia, while Brown (as in the color of fecal matter) is a ‘Freedom Fry’ patriot who claimed that Coakley would grant terrorists additional constitutional rights and other such nonsense. For me, the war is issue number 1, both from a foreign policy perspective and economic perspective as well. Coakley was the least repulsive of the hacks on this issue.
As for the last sentence of your comment (well, for sure you are informing us of your mind in the matter.), I’m not sure what you think you’re getting at.

Peres to Abbas: Resume talks or face new intifada
… the Associated Press reported that Abbas suggested the American administration negotiate the borders aspect of the agreement with Israel on the PA’s behalf. … However, other Palestinian sources told Haaretz that Abbas had no intention of authorizing the U.S. to conduct talks on his behalf. They said Abbas made a general statement to the effect that the U.S. must get Israel to agree to retreat to pre-1967 borders.
Not even ‘President’ Abbas could be stupid enough to hand proxy negotiating authority over to Dennis Ross.
Surely he can’t be so deluded!
Obama administration, like Olmert has come to the conclusion that either they impose a two-state solution on Palestinians or lose Israel to the Islamic resistance, supported by Tehran, Ankara and several South American countries. However, the two-state solution is nothing but to keep Zionist dominance in the Muslim heartland for western colonists.

Pals wait for every new Israel PM to give them more than the last
Pals have nothing to offer Israel. They just sit there waiting to hear what they are going to get and then criticize.
“Pals have nothing to offer Israel”
Who offers the guy who stole from them and raped their wife anything?
Virtually any deal that doesn’t move the Arab/Palestinians closer to the total elimination of the State of Israel will be rejected.
A top Palestinian leader just said Hamas will officially revoke that part of its old charter calling for the destruction of Irael; he says nobody wants to drive anyone into the sea, and that Hamas is ready to recognize the right of Israel to exist:

OTH, the same leader said Hamas had already cancelled its original charter and has received nothing for doing so, and that Israel has no right to exist on Palestinian land:

“‘Virtually any deal that doesn’t move the Arab/Palestinians closer to the total elimination of the State of Israel will be rejected. “‘
Except for the 2 state solution that everyine but Israel accepts and the Arab peace initiative, that everyone but Israel accepts.
Another Palestinian fraud exposed.

The PA’s Fayad is No Moderate.
Another post where I question if you guys hate Israel more than you want something good for the Palestinians. The two state option will be the quickest solution for some normality in the Palestinians lives. But now, its a one-state solution which will never be accepted by the Israelis or the United States.
Remember, there are people living under occupation, if the Two State solution is gaining any momentum, why not just go a long for the ride, or at least let the Palestinians decide.
“The two state option will be the quickest solution for some normality in the Palestinians lives.”‘
You might liek the normality they’re enjoying in Gaza?
Yonira, cause these radicals want Israel eliminated.
Read this great article which describes the left’s hatred of Israel.

Why do you bother linking to someone who was 100% wrong about eveerything to do with the Iraq war?
Baruch Rosen – tell me if someone forced into your house, kill your son, rape your daughter and wife and through the family in the backyard. What would you do as a Jew? Revenge your tragedy or forgive the intruders?
Go and read your own Talmud and find out who teaches hate.

Rehmat – don’t feed the troll.
Rehmat, when and where did raping of daughters and wives happened in their backyards? And what group did that?
zamaaz ,
Look up Deir Yassin massacre, and stop playing dumb.
Rehmat, I have read the link…and am very sad to say Judaism, Christianity, and Islam suffer the same tragedy. If only all those believers live by their faith in the context of God’s teachings, there is supposedly no war over Palestine, nor conflicts among the believers…But some fools simply came in along centuries and muddled the character of God’s instructions…
Those muslims who were tolerant of other faiths and even saved Jews in their days of visitations are the true Islamic believers. I am really very sad for our world religious state….
Obama represents the strengths and weaknesses of the American intellectual class. They know the truth but can’t find a way of acting on it. Abbas represents nobody and no on will really believe that his signature on any document means anything. As for the trolls I agree that they should not be fed. People recognise racist sneering when they see it.
Meanwhile, the actual Israeli beat goes on, every starving musical note of it–yesterday
Israeli authorities allowed 87 truckloads of goods into Gaza, less than one fourth of the coastal enclave’s daily needs, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Rehmat, you say, Baruch Rosen – tell me if someone forced into your house, kill your son, rape your daughter and wife and through the family in the backyard. What would you do as a Jew? Revenge your tragedy or forgive the intruders?
Are you talking about the 700,000 Jews who were terrorized and forced from the Arab countries?
Or are you talking about the Kurds who lands were stolen by Iraq and Syria?
“‘Are you talking about the 700,000 Jews who were terrorized and forced from the Arab countries?”‘
No, because they weren’t.
Israeli professor Yehouda Shenhav once wrote that “any reasonable person” must acknowledge the analogy to be “unfounded”:
“‘Palestinian refugees did not want to leave Palestine. Many Palestinian communities were destroyed in 1948, and some 700,000 Palestinians were expelled, or fled, from the borders of historic Palestine. Those who left did not do so of their own volition. In contrast, Jews from Arab lands came to this country under the initiative of the State of Israel and Jewish organizations. Some came of their own free will; others arrived against their will. Some lived comfortably and securely in Arab lands; others suffered from fear and oppression.”‘
And there’s this:
Knesset speaker Yisrael Yeshayahu once said “‘We are not refugees. [Some of us] came to this country before the state was born. We had messianic aspirations’.” MK Ran Cohen, who emigrated from Iraq, made it clear: “‘I came at the behest of Zionism, due to the pull that this land exerts, and due to the idea of redemption. Nobody is going to define me as a refugee’.”
Got that Baruch?
Pfff, another talking point goes up in smoke. Don’t you just hate that?
