I presume NPR was a little slow.
As we watch Netanyahu exercise his zero credibility on our Sunday shows, I think it will be helpful to have this richer and more complete image of him, for those who don’t know this yet – that of Bibi’s direct involvement in smuggling nuclear triggers out of the US for Israeli nukes

If you visit Tikun Olam you get to see Arnon Milchan (who was up to his eyeballs in the smuggling as essentially an Israeli agent) with his arms around Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, whom he directed for Mr and Mrs Smith.
I know it’s not just me who sees all the layers of Pro-Israel and/or Islamophobic layering inserted into so many Hollywood films – I’m sure Milchan hasn’t missed too many opportunities.
Too bad the FBI can’t just arrest Bibi tomorrow morning rather than subject us to watching him try to blame Iran/Hezbollah with the talk show hosts refusing to ask him if he has any proof, or if he’s just doing it as part of his HOAX on the American people to push the US into a war with Iran

I enter the first stages of a severe rash whenever I get a glimpse of that doomsday face of his. I swallow swords for a living, so I can suppress any violent gag reflexes though.
Regarding Netanyahu’s overall demeanor and tone: he comes across as overbearing, suffocating, in your face, bombastic, strident, fanatical, obsessed, bullying, etc.
And this is the typical face that *all* militant ethnic nationalists present to the world — one thinks of Mussolini.
Rule of thumb: the more intense the level of your ethnic nationalism, the worse your social relations with most of the world. Who in the world doesn’t get this.
until Americans and/or citizens of the world get a clue…

Israel assassinated so many Iranians and Hezbollah that it would make sense (not moral, of course) that they would plan a hit. By the way of contrast, al-Qaeda motifs would be simply a “pathological hatred for Israel” which makes it perhaps less plausible. Plus, those guys would not harm a fly.
Mind you, al-Qaeda is not a centralized organization, and this attack was not particularly complicated: 7 pounds of explosives, knapsack and a set of goofy tourist apparel that let the terrorist blend in a crowd of a beach resort. I am not sure how a lone goofy young man can get a hold on 7 pounds of TNT, so some networks was involved, but it could be pretty small organization.
Piotr, if you’re suggesting that “al-Qaeda’s” hatred for Israel is unfounded, that’s not true. There’s quite a bit of resentment across the Middle East towards Israel for what it did to the Palestinians. One of the many reasons Egyptians resented Mubarak was the fact that he sold out to Israel and abandoned the Palestinians. During the 21-day massacre of Gaza, Mubarak made sure to keep the Rafah crossing closed. Egyptians resented him for that. The Toulouse murderer listed 3 reasons for why he targeted Jews; one of them was to avenge Palestinian children (“The Jews kill our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” he said). At the end of the day, killing Palestinian Arabs is not going to go down well with other Arabs. Just like the Holocaust didn’t go down well with non-European Jews.
Nevertheless, al-Qaeda is still a terrorist (non)-organization, but it’s very naive to perceive them as motiveless terrorists who kill just for the sake of it.

I doubt anyone will inquire about his personal involvement in the espionage theft of nuclear triggers from the U.S.

I think he’s mad that the Colorado shooting took attention away from the Bulgeria incident and he has to try to steer the conversation back to Iran.
This was probably set up days ago, if not earlier. Romney is going to Israel soon. It is more likely that Romney’s upcoming visit will come up than that Netanyahu will make a strong case on the Bulgarian attack being Iranian or Hezbollah-inspired.
The networks want to keep this election so close that their ad revenues multiply in late September through the election day.
I never watch the Sunday morning political roundtables. For decades, their sponsors have been the same corporations that bring us endless wars, unlabeled GMO crops and LIBOR inside trades.

Israel has a regional plan in the offing. The timing will depend on the fall of Bashaar al-Asad.
Once he’s out of power or out of the proverbial picture, Israel plans to go full throttle against Syrian infrastructure AND at the same time against Hizbollah.
My sense is that for the time being the plan is focused and limited to the Syria/Lebanon area. An Israeli or American attack on Iran will come at a later date (Years).
Neither Israel nor the U.S. can afford to start several fronts of conflict. It is best to divide and conquer. Long overdrawn conflict has been taxing on Israel. For example, it withdrew its forces from Lebanon after a 20-year-long occupation because it turned into a war of attrition.
The same happened with the occupied West Bank and Gaza. When Israel brought the Palestinian Authority to do the policing of Palestinian enclaves, it was a long-term attempt to outsource/sub-contract the occupation to another entity. It succeeded.
Anyway, Israeli generals have already bragged that the next attack on Lebanon will put to shame the attack on Gaza in early 2009. That is when Israel plans on using the bunker busters that the Obama administration provided a year or two back.
