Marty Peretz unbound: Obama adores the hijab and ‘is driven by the Muslim narrative’

Marty Peretz stays on the job as the one-man wrecking crew of his own reputation. He “loves Ehud Barak, dislikes Shimon Peres, still thinks Muslims can’t run a post office”– according to a Hebrew interview here. Thanks to Ofer. More interesting quotes below. Notice the dis of Larry Summers, good one:

–“Obama is driven by the Muslim narrative, not by the Jewish narrative”

– “Obama has expressed his support for the Hijab 4 times. If you’re a liberal western president, at least keep quiet”.

– “Obama supports the Egyptian revolution because there are Islamist elements in it. He did not support the Iranian revolt for a simple reason: it was a secular revolt, aimed at wiping out Islamist influence.”

– When asked whether it’s true that he didn’t hire writers who had criticized Israel, he confirms, adding that “This is what happens in every journal. The publisher wants people who will serve his agenda” –

Hates Jerusalem “because of the tall, disgusting buildings, the ultra-orthodox problem and the Arab problem” –

“Obama is the first president sine Eisenhower who has no emotional connection to Israel” –

On Ehud Barak: “He’s a clever little mind, like Larry Summers. In the US army people look up to him, but you hate him. He has some personality problems, true, but nobody’s perfect”. (the sub-headline says “in love with Ehud Barak” and then the phrasing is “likes Ehud Barak”)

– The worst thing about Shimon Peres is that he keeps selling this “new Middle East” fraud even though he knows there Will be no peace agreement in the near future.

Oh and remember this: Amy Gutmann, president of the University of Pennsylvania, signed this fundraising letter last year in Peretz’s behalf. Has she ever accounted for this action? How do Muslim scholars at Penn feel about their president’s endorsement of someone who really just hates Islam?
