Israel changes its law to reverse its own official agreements with outside entities and people even as those agreements are made; the result relevant directly here, is the endless revolving door for Palestinians freed by exchange or otherwise–all bringing the Palestinians right back to the Israeli jails or prisons: http://www.haaretz.com/opinion/draconian-arrests-of-palestinians-1.504612

A normal state, run by reasonable adults would take note of protests such as these, examine the incident/policy that elicited the protests, and determine a rational response whether it be a review or cessation of said policy.
