Check out this video of a fantastic flashmob at Harvard Square on July 16th, the WeDivest campaign’s National Day of Action. Over 90 folks marched from Harvard Square to the TIAA-CREF office in Cambridge to protest TIAA-CREF’s investments in Israel’s military occupation– on the same day the retirement giant held its annual shareholders’ meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.
They weren’t alone either. At TIAA-CREF offices in over a dozen cities, human rights activists chanted, entertained and informed in response to TIAA-CREF’s refusal to allow investors to vote on a shareholder resolution that calls on the institution to divest from companies profiting from Israel’s oppressive military occupation.

In San Francisco, over 40 people from diverse groups gave speeches and sang and chanted to the accompaniment of a ukulele in front of TIAA CREF offices on Mission Street.
