Over the last couple weeks there’s been a whirlwind of news from Israel/Palestine and we’ve done our best to bring it to you as quickly and reliably as possible. In addition to our own intrepid Allison Deger based in Ramallah, we’ve been fortunate to expand our team of correspondents to include freelance reporters doing incredible work on the ground. Sheren Khalel, Matthew Vickery and Kelly Lynn have brought us breaking news and indelible images.

So please help us continue to expand our coverage from Israel/Palestine by giving a tax-deductible donation to our summer fundraiser today.

Layout 1Usually we would be promoting our fundraiser much more often on the site, but the news from the region takes precedent. Still, we have a new incentive for those to give a donation of $30 or more – a copy of Ali Abunimah’s groundbreaking new book The Battle for Justice in Palestine. We’ve covered the book extensively and you can read an excerpt, an interview with Abunimah and Josh Ruebner’s glowing review. This gift is just another way for us to say thank you for your support.

As Abunimah explains in that book, Palestinians are today winning a battle of ideas about what the future looks like. “It is precisely to prevent us from breaking out of the strictly-ndorced limits of current thinking that Israel and its lobbies are investing so much in efforts to stop more discussion–especially in the United States, Israel’s indispensible sponsor,” he writes.

Thank you again for all you do to support the site, and we hope we’re holding up our end of the bargain. The mainstream media is getting better at reporting the daily struggle from Israel/Palestine, but there is still a long way for it to go. We promise to remain on the story with news, analysis and perspectives you will read in few other places. Please help us continue to grow by giving a tax-deductible donation today. Thanks.

I suggest Phil or Adam should get this writer to do an article for MW: http://www.tikkun.org/tikkundaily/2014/07/05/as-a-jew-living-in-america-the-past-week-has-changed-me-forever/

His article is titled, “As a Jew Living In America The Past Week Has Changed Me Forever.”

I think regulars here would like to get his input beyond what he wrote in his article. And I think his plain, honest rendition of why he still hangs on to his weakened belief that Jews can do better re the state of Israel, and, simultaneously, his unweakened belief Jews need to support the State of Israel. His explanation of what he was taught (and not taught) about Israel while living with all the benefits of growing up in USA must be legion. For some reason, unlike Phil Weiss, this guy, younger than Phil I imagine, but also brought up right here in the good old USA, is not confident that he should not support Israel right or wrong. Or am I reading what he says wrong?

Adam, Phil
Have you ever thought of reaching out to RT, PressTV, Al Jazeera?
I am pretty sure atleast the two former would accept you on the show or/and writing articles.
That could be a great way to get the message out.

Please help us continue to cover breaking news from Israel/Palestine,…

I am ready to help you cover breaking news from Jerusalem.

At the moment, the IDF is mowing the grass in Gaza.

you guy’s are great. I don’t know what I would do for news without it. I made a second contribution within a week, after reading an article yesterday. Keep it up and I’ll keep supporting.
