There’s noting more disturbing than celebrating the burning alive of a baby. This is precisely what Israeli Jewish settlers were doing yesterday, taunting a survivor of the Dawabshe family arson attack in 2015. “Ali is on the grill!” they shouted, in reference to the 18-month Palestinian baby killed in the attack.

Senior Palestinian official Hanan Ashrawi said today “it is not surprising” that the U.S. withdrew from the United Nations Human Rights Council yesterday, because the directive came from an “administration who gives orders to snatch crying babies from their parents’ arms,” referencing the White House policy of separating detained immigrant children from their parents.

Last week Roger Waters performed in Munich following a campaign to cancel his concert backed by the city’s mayor, Dieter Reiter, who accused Waters of anti-Semitism. Waters punched back from the stage at Munich’s Olympic Hall: “I believe all people, all of us, all of our brothers and sisters, all of our fragile globe, whatever their ethnicity or religion or nationality deserve the same basic human rights under the law.”
