In a personalized gesture of love and solidarity with Muslim members of their community, a coalition of citizens in Albuquerque, New Mexico reached out to the Islamic Center of New Mexico on Friday by personally delivering hand crafted cards and letters of support after Donald Trump’s racist called for a ban on Muslims entering US.

The Gaith-Sub Laban family is facing an imminent unlawful forced eviction from their home in the Muslim Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem at the hands of Israeli authorities and settler organizations. Four generations of the Gaith-Sub Laban family have lived in their home since 1953, for 62 years, and they have been targeted for eviction by Israeli occupation authorities and settlers for 40 of those years. Palestinian grandmother Nora Gaith-Sub Laban, 59, who was born in her home and grew up there, lives with her family of 8, including two of her grandchildren Mustafa, 9 and Kanaan, 3. They are being evicted because of their ethnicity, in order to be replaced by Jewish settlers.

There was a big shebang in Boston yesterday over the Palestine Advocacy Project’s massively popular “ONE WORD” ad campaign at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Fiscal and Management Control Board public meeting. The MBTA management board (locally known as “the T”) heard public testimony before a vote on Monday afternoon the T decided to ban political issue advertising on the transit system. The ads are coming down.

Bay Area activists pulled off an awesome action yesterday at Haaretz’s Zionism 3.0: Israel’s Place in Tomorrow’s World conference in Palo Alto, California. As Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely was introduced and stepped up to the podium a clear voice rung out: “Tzipi Hotovely this is a citizens’ arrest! We charge you with inciting colonial violence.”
