Assaf Wohl has authored an empty book about Palestinian history, and now he hurls anti-Semitic tropes against New Zealand Jewish activist Justine Sachs, for persuading Lorde to cancel her performance in Israel. He calls her a “classic Jewish wimp,” and refers to the Holocaust, when some Jews collaborated with Nazis.

In a radio debate with Israeli journalist Ben Caspit, writer Shany Littman says his call for a price to be exacted from Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian girl, in the dark without witnesses was a suggestion of sexual assault. Caspit says he merely called for her arrest and denies the Israeli occupation exists.

Before Ahed Tamimi slapped an Israeli soldier on her family’s occupied property on December 15, the soldier slapped her hand away from him. But no one is talking about that violent moment; and Israeli media are showing video of the incident that begins right after that moment, in an effort to describe the incident as one of provocation and restraint, not the usual violence, which in fact preceded and followed the video.

Sheikh Saih Abu Madiam, 68, has been sentenced by an Israeli court to 10 months in prison and fined over $10,000. The crime? Trespassing state land — which he in fact owns in Al Araqib, one of the nearly 40 “unrecognized” Bedouin villages in the Negev.

Prominent Israeli journalist Ben Caspit caused international furor last week, when he wrote of Ahed Tamimi, “in the case of the girls, we should exact a price at some other opportunity, in the dark, without witnesses and cameras”. Caspit has felt the heat in response to his insidious suggestions and is now in crisis control mode. In a new article Caspit trys to “clarify” in English but Jonathan Ofir says the attempt at spin control is futile and disingenuous: “Caspit, in his desperate attempt to backpedal, is providing an even more pathetic article, which suggests that its just the ‘goyim’ who didn’t understand Israeli jargon.”

The Israeli paper Maariv has reported that President Reuven Rivlin might grant a pardon to Elor Azarya, the soldier-medic who shot and killed an incapacitated Palestinian at point-blank range in March 2016, despite having refused to do so last month.

Hanukkah is a holiday of Jewish liberation from occupation 2150 years ago. But Jews cannot celebrate the Jewish holidays as a matter of the ancient past at a time when Israel continuously presses its ‘Jewish liberation’ upon the besieged Palestinians, who are crushed under the boot of the ‘most moral army’.

On Monday, the Israeli parliament passed an amendment to the ‘Prevention of Infiltration Act’ so that it could continue to coerce African refugees to be deported. In 2011, former Interior Minister Eli Yishai said that the mere presence of the refugees is an “existential threat”, and vowed to defend the “Jewish majority”. This law shows that in the Jewish State Zionism informs each and every detail of Israel’s policy.

Retired Israeli general Amiram Levin is regarded as a liberal Zionist and is a strong supporter of Labor leader Avi Gabbay. In an interview, he says “Palestinians deserved the occupation” and Israel should give Palestinian leadership “a carrot in the form of a state, and if it doesn’t want it, we’ll tear it apart…. if they violate agreements, the next time we’ll fight here they will not remain, we will toss them across the Jordan…. We were way too nice in ‘67.”
