Racism in the US press: Imagine the New York Times saying about any other ethnic group in the world, that if it was a majority in the country, it would “endanger the country’s democratic ideals.” Palestinians are different.
This weekend, UC-Berkeley honors its graduates and Bill Maher’s Anti-Muslimism, together. According to Maher the entire spectrum of American Muslims are at fault for matters outside of their control, involving people that they’ve never met. In both cases, a policy of isolating a people because they have political views our government disagrees with has gone on for decades without changing that society. Imagine the president ignoring the Israel lobby, as Obama ignored the Cuba lobby, and declaring; “Today, the United States of America is changing its relationship with the people of Israel and Palestine.”
Israeli PM Netanyahu’s clueless tweet of himself with muzzled attack dogs and soldiers in balaclavas carrying automatic rifles on Hanukkah shows that the Israeli brand has curdled and Israel will lose American Jews
