Lobby will go grassroots in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida

In a letter to members of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Ari Fleischer, former press secretary for George W. Bush, announces a major grassroots push in September in three key states:

On Sunday, September 9 and Monday, September 10 the RJC will execute the largest, most comprehensive grassroots door-to-door outreach effort ever undertaken in the Jewish community. No matter where you live, we are asking RJC members from across the country to join us in key Jewish communities in the three most critical battleground states of 2012:

Ohio Pennsylvania Florida

The RJC will provide hotel accommodations and food for members who take part in this critical two-day outreach effort. The stakes are just too high and we cannot afford to have our members sit on the sidelines.

The RJC is hawkish on Iran, and it believes that it can push Jewish support for Obama into the 60s.

Jewish support for Democratic presidential candidates has exceeded 64% since 1988; Michael Dukakis took just 64% of the Jewish vote when he was soundly defeated by George H.W. Bush. In 1992, Bill Clinton won 80% of the Jewish vote. In 1996, he was re-elected with 78% of the Jewish vote. Al Gore won 79% of the vote in 2000 and John Kerry took 76% in 2004. President Obama won 78% of the Jewish vote in 2008.

Nice post Phil – hopefully a prelude to the full return of Blankfort.

If these guys are successful, O could be in real trouble. Ive been saying it for a long while now, Barry ain’t the favorite. According to his old Law School Professor, that’s the way it should be:

I, also, would like to see more of Jeff Blankfort again. His knowledge is so detailed and covers such a long period of personal involvement with the I/P issue.
