Israeli settler violence since October 2023 has systematically rendered farmland inaccessible across the West Bank. The state-backed policy is destroying harvests, driving up the price of produce, and dismantling an entire way of life.

Much like the JNF’s weaponization of environmentalism to erase Palestinian lands, Israel is now weaponizing conservationism by unleashing wild boars on Palestinian rural communities, wreaking havoc on Palestinian nature, animals, and people.

For Palestinian farmers, protecting the land is more important than cultivating it when it is always under threat of colonial confiscation.
