Piece focuses on Ayman Mohyeldin, a 29-year-old American working for Al-Jazeera English, who is of Palestinian-Egyptian background, in Gaza:
As an American citizen, Mr [Ayman] Mohyeldin finds the lack of coverage in the
US the most annoying. "It's very frustrating to know that your work,
and al-Jazeera English's work, which I think can really give people the
reality of the situation . . . is not reaching people who can make an
impact here on the ground immediately," he says.

The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza strip. Pope Benedict XVI has also called for a ceasefire, and senior Vatican official Cardinal Renato Martino describes Gaza as "a big concentration camp."
The Senate and the House of Representatives have passed resolutions endorsing the assault on Gaza by what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi describes as our "friend and democratic ally."
There you have the difference between the U.N., the Catholic Church and the United States Congress; the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) doesn't own the U.N. or the Catholic Church…..

The purpose of strategy in war is to focus the violence on a tangible policy aim. Not surprisingly, Israel's Ambassador to the United States Sallai Meridor freely admitted in a recent lecture at George Washington University that, "we have no grand political scheme" in Gaza.
That means our "friend and democratic ally," with the endorsement of our executive and legislative branches of government and with the tacit approval of our president elect, are conducting slaughter for the sake of slaughter. This is also known as total war, and war of annihilation, and genocide.
What a crying shame it is that the land of the free and the home of the brave should sanction such monstrosity.'

The fact that Israelis are seeing the crimes committed against the Palestinians in Gaza live on their TV screens and STILL in their OVERWHELMING MAJORITY support the mass-murder in Gaza, allegedly over the firing of a few homemade rockets which killed fewer people before Israel decided to break the lousy ceasefire and launch a war on Gaza than after it, and over the capture of ONE SOLDIER by enemy troops with the express purpose of EXCHANGING him for a small number of the 11,000 Palestinians (most of them civilians with no charges against them) who have been kidnapped by zionist terrorist forces and imprisoned for years without trial or any charges (in some cases for decades) — the fact that they can see all this and still support the genocide in progress, makes them all the more despicable creatures (don't even want to call them human beings — yes, I AM dehumanizing them, for goodness' sake, they are NOT humans!!!) than zionists by default are.
Notice how the zionist war criminal hasbara works. Faced with the increasing prospects of being dragged to the Hague, the zionists dropped this bit of "news" on Ha'aretz, Yediot Ahronot: Hamas allegedly fired a "phosphorous bomb" (whatever that means — how would Hamas drop a BOMB, as opposed to a SHELL? Or will we be also told that Hamas has F-16s and has been bombing the poor besieged Israeli people for weeks?) that allegedly struck an open field. The Israeli police are SO competent that, contrary to their inability, for 10 hours, to locate the approximate area where a rocket launched from Lebanon landed, they managed not only to locate the open field where this "phosphorous bomb" landed, but also to figure out that it has phosphorous.
And now, with the huge spontaneous fire at a chemicals plant in Ashdod, there you go, some additional material for zionist hasbara people to work with to whitewash the crimes of the Israeli terror political and military apparatus and create the mirage that the victim and the oppressor, the slaughtered and the mass-murderer, are on the same level.

Ahhhh….., discomfort can be so irritating. Apologies to fP Clinton, but I feel Senator Boxer's pain. :) It is nice that, if nothing else, her America-second tantrum is now in the public record, and could conceivably be used in a campaign ad against her. Yes, yes, I know, but hope springs eternal.
